STEP 5 – Install Additional PC Security Software

There are numerous choices for PC security software on the internet and many opinions about which software is the best.  There are also choices to be made in regard to using individual PC security products (such as a standalone firewall, standalone antivirus program, standalone antispyware program, etc…) or an internet security suite.

Our recommendation is to utilize the lowest number of software products as possible.  You can either have 5 different products to manage separately (related to updates - making sure they are updating and your system is protected in a timely fashion), or you can choose an Internet Security Suite.  Our STRONG recommendation is to utilize an Internet Security Suite such as ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite.
